About Alan
Alan Phillips is an advisor to Promo Drop. He began his career in cybersecurity, as a Cyber Security Manager at Accenture UK & Ireland from 1996 to 2001.
In October 2001 he co-founded the cybersecurity and digital-forensics firm 7Safe, and was its chief executive from inception until May 2014, through to PA Consulting’s acquisition of the whole company. He became 7Safe’s first PCI DSS Qualified Security Assessor, and during his tenure 7Safe co-authored the Association of Chief Police Officers’ Good Practice Guide for Computer Based Electronic Evidence.
From June 2014 to March 2021 he was founder and chief executive of Review Media, a performance-marketing startup that was wholly acquired in March 2021. Since April 2021 he has been founder and chief executive of APUN.
He holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance from Edith Cowan University.
