Stocks with Josh review: the short version
Stocks with Josh, or SWJ, is a paid trading community sold through Whop: a busy Discord, a weekly schedule of live sessions, and a set of scalping tools that load straight onto your TradingView charts [1][4]. It is built for active short-term traders who already chart in TradingView and can be in front of a screen on weekday mornings, Eastern time [4].
The headline feature is not any single indicator. It is contact time: SWJ's site says its top tier covers 15 live trading sessions and 7 teaching sessions every week, run by Josh and a bench of instructors he calls the Crown Traders [4][5]. That calendar is the thing to plan around.
We checked the Whop listing, the creator's websites, his YouTube channel, Whop's help pages and public commentary on 13 October 2026 [1][2][3][4][10]. We have not joined; this review covers what SWJ publicly offers and how others describe it.
Is Stocks with Josh legit?
Yes. It is an identifiable business selling a real product through a mainstream checkout. The Whop store opened on 25 March 2024 under the account stockswithjosh [1]. The official site names the operator as Nala Financial LLC, which also runs the sister brand The Friendly Trader, and the terms give a business address in Parker, Texas [4][7].
Its reputation on Whop is strong. On 12 October 2026 the store showed a 4.6 rating from 855 reviews, with 7,425 people listed as members [1].
Billing runs entirely through Whop. Plans renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling from your Whop orders page stops the next charge while keeping access until the end of the period you have already paid for [6][7][12]. The store's FAQ says it does not refund any subscription level, so it is sensible to treat each payment as final [2][6].
Legit is not the same as profitable, and SWJ's terms say as much: everything it publishes, indicators included, is education rather than advice, and past and member results are not typical [7].
Who runs Stocks with Josh?
Josh presents himself on the SWJ site as "The Chart GOAT": a technical trader with more than 17 years of day-trading experience who also keeps a long-term portfolio [5]. That is his own account, not an audited record. The bio is warmer than most in this niche, giving family and Christian faith as much room as charts, and it sums up his method in three words: price is truth [5].
His YouTube channel has been running since December 2021 and showed 196K subscribers and 3,208 videos when we checked [10]. It is pitched at newer traders, covering stocks, crypto, options and early retirement [10]. Recent uploads lean toward monthly stock picks, Bitcoin and large tech names such as Nvidia [11]. The paid product is narrower and faster: its tools are built for scalping.
Josh is not the only voice in the room. The Crown Traders page profiles eleven instructors, from Turbo Trader Guppy's fast options momentum on SPY, AAPL and NVDA to Turtle Trader Tom's patient watchlists and Stock Brotha's small caps [5]. The Discord itself goes by Chart Goat University, a nod to Josh's nickname [6].
What you get with each Stocks with Josh plan
There are two products on Whop. SWJ Trader Tier, $49 a week on its default plan, is the full membership: an Onboarding Guide, the Trader Tier Discord and five TradingView tools: GOAT Scalp Levels, Profit Windows, GOAT Scalps ALPHA, GOAT RSI Multi-TF 60/40 Alerts and the A+ Scalp Dashboard [1][2]. The official site adds that this tier includes every live and teaching session on the weekly calendar [4].
Friendly Tools, $79.99 per 30 days, carries the same five TradingView tools plus a connection to the community side of the SWJ Discord, without the onboarding guide or the Trader Tier channels [1][3][4]. Its pitch: traders are swamped by possible setups, and the tools narrow attention to what is moving now [3]. On the official site this tier comes with one livestream a week, on Tuesdays [4].
Whop handles delivery. The tools are attached to the store as TradingView apps, the Discord channels as Discord apps, and the guide sits in Whop's content section [1]. To enter the server you link Discord to your Whop account and claim access from the store page; the store's FAQ suggests a laptop browser if the Whop app times out [2][14].
As for what the tools do, The Friendly Trader says its indicators put daily levels, a live A+ score and the session's best trading windows on your chart [9], matching GOAT Scalp Levels, the A+ Dashboard and Profit Windows by name. We found no public write-up of the RSI alert beyond its title; RSI itself is a standard momentum gauge read on a 0 to 100 scale [16]. Scalping, for newcomers, means opening and closing positions very quickly to catch small price moves, often many times a day [17].
One wrinkle: the bundle is described differently from page to page. The official site lists the tools tier as Friendly Screener, Friendly Options, Trade Tracker, GOAT Scalp Levels and the A+ Dashboard, reserving "Josh's custom indicator suite" for Trader Tier [4]. The Whop product page is the version tied to checkout, so read it before you pay [2][3].
What a week inside SWJ looks like
The site's calendar is the clearest picture of membership. The week opens on Sunday evening with swing setups, two teaching sessions and a market-prep call between 5 and 8 PM Eastern [4]. Weekdays start with Daily Scalp Setups at 9:15 AM and a live trading room at 9:30, led by Money Mike most days and by Josh on Wednesdays and Fridays [4].
Afternoons bring breakout sessions with Guppy on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a power-hour stream from 3 PM, and Wednesday night adds futures with Wolf of Gatsby and a late teaching slot [4]. For a scalper, the morning block is the heart of it. If work keeps you from a screen at 9:30 Eastern, much of what Trader Tier charges for happens without you, though the tools stay on your charts whenever you trade [1][4].
What people say about Stocks with Josh
Whop reviews are the largest body of feedback, and they are warm. The reviews highlighted on the Trader Tier page praise one instructor's sense of humor, Money Mike's patience, and Josh's way of explaining technical analysis; one self-described beginner says Josh wants members to understand the process rather than simply follow his trades [2]. Ratings cover the whole store, and some highlighted reviews sit on other SWJ products, so many are really verdicts on a particular Crown Trader [2].
We found no Trustpilot profile on 13 October 2026. SWJ publishes a "live scoreboard" of its instructors' alert statistics, compiled from calls made in its Discord [8]. Those are the company's own figures and have not been independently audited, so we do not repeat them here, and SWJ's terms say results shown are not typical [7][8].
Who Stocks with Josh is best for
SWJ makes the most sense for active short-term traders who already live in TradingView and want ready-made levels and a scoring dashboard on the chart, plus a room of people trading the same market open [1][4]. It also suits learners who like hearing several approaches before settling on one, since the roster runs from options momentum to slow, research-led swing trading [5].
That sets it apart from groups built around one person's method. ScrivTrades, for example, organizes its premium group around a single shared strategy, with indicator access sold separately [18]. SWJ puts a broad faculty around one central personality [5]. If you want one rulebook, that variety can feel like noise; if you want to sample styles, it is the main draw.
Strengths of Stocks with Josh
The schedule is the standout: fifteen live trading sessions and seven teaching sessions a week, spread across a roster of eleven instructors [4][5]. And because the tools are TradingView apps, they live on your own charts rather than in a separate window [1].
Billing is flexible too. Trader Tier runs weekly at $49 with three further billing options at Whop's checkout, and Friendly Tools runs on a 30-day cycle with one more option [2][3]. There is also a real public footprint behind it: nearly five years of YouTube, a named operating company and written terms [7][10].
Things to know before you join Stocks with Josh
Weekly billing adds up. At $49 a week, Trader Tier works out to roughly $212 a month on average ($49 x 52 / 12) [2]. Whop's checkout lists three other billing options for the tier [2], so if you expect to stay past a week or two, look at those before you pay. Friendly Tools is $79.99 every 30 days, with one further billing option at checkout [3].
Plans renew until you cancel from Whop under Profile, then Orders, and access runs to the end of the paid period [12]. The store offers no refunds and the site calls all sales final [2][6]; Whop's Resolution Center promises a decision on refund requests within a week, subject to the creator's policy [12][13].
You need a TradingView account to receive the tools [1]. TradingView's plan comparison lists two indicators per chart on the free Basic plan and five on Essential [15], so if you want all five SWJ tools on one chart at once, check your plan first.
Trading carries a real risk of loss, and SWJ's terms say so plainly, including the possibility of losing more than you put in [7]. The tools and session ideas are educational, nothing guarantees results, and past performance does not predict future results [7]. Scalping also takes screen time during market hours [4], and members must be 18 or older [7]. One practical safety note from the store: Josh will never message you first on Discord, so treat any DM in his name as an impersonator [2].
Stocks with Josh price and how to save
Prices checked 13 October 2026: SWJ Trader Tier starts at $49 per week on Whop with three other billing options, and Friendly Tools is $79.99 per 30 days, shown as reduced from $99.99, with one other option [2][3]. Before you check out, look at the Stocks with Josh page on Promo Drop for current codes, each tested at Whop's checkout. Promo Drop also offers cashback on eligible Whop purchases, which can trim the cost of a weekly or monthly plan.
Verdict: is Stocks with Josh worth a look?
Stocks with Josh is a strong fit for TradingView scalpers who want a busy, live, multi-instructor room and a set of tools that sit on their own charts [1][4][5]. Its Whop reputation is solid and its operator is named [1][7]. The value depends almost entirely on attendance: Trader Tier rewards people who attend the morning sessions, while Friendly Tools is the sensible starting point for traders who mainly want the indicators [3][4].
Pick the billing cycle that matches how long you expect to stay, read the product page at checkout, and read scoreboard figures and member results as the company's own numbers rather than a forecast [4][7][8]. Go in with that mindset and SWJ offers a generous amount of live teaching for one subscription.
Stocks with Josh FAQ
Is Stocks with Josh legit?
Yes. It is a Whop-hosted trading community that has sold through Whop since March 2024 and is operated by Nala Financial LLC of Parker, Texas [1][7]. On 12 October 2026 it held a 4.6 rating from 855 Whop reviews [1]. Payments, renewals and cancellations all run through Whop, and the community's terms describe its content as education rather than financial advice [7][12].
How much does Stocks with Josh cost?
On 13 October 2026, SWJ Trader Tier started at $49 per week on Whop, roughly $212 a month if you stay on weekly billing, and Whop's checkout lists three other billing options for longer stays [2]. Friendly Tools costs $79.99 per 30 days, with one more option at checkout [3]. Check the Stocks with Josh code page on Promo Drop for current codes before paying.
What is the difference between SWJ Trader Tier and Friendly Tools?
Both include the same five TradingView scalping tools [1]. Trader Tier adds the Onboarding Guide and the Trader Tier Discord, and SWJ's site says it covers all 15 weekly live trading sessions and 7 teaching sessions [2][4]. Friendly Tools links you to the community side of the Discord with one Tuesday livestream, so it suits traders who mainly want the indicators [3][4].
Do I need TradingView to use Stocks with Josh?
For the tools, yes. SWJ attaches them to its Whop store as TradingView apps, so a TradingView account is how you receive them [1]. TradingView's free Basic plan allows two indicators per chart and Essential allows five [15], which matters if you want every SWJ tool on screen at once. The Discord and live sessions work separately through Whop's Discord link [14].
How do I cancel Stocks with Josh?
Sign in to Whop, open Profile, then Orders, select the SWJ membership and choose Cancel membership [12]. Whop emails a confirmation and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends [12]. Cancelling does not trigger a refund: the store says it does not refund any subscription level, and the official site describes all sales as final [2][6].
Is Stocks with Josh good for beginners?
It can be, with patience. Josh's YouTube channel is aimed at newer traders, the Trader Tier includes an Onboarding Guide, and the calendar has several teaching sessions each week [2][4][10]. Scalping, though, means many quick trades under strict rules [17], and trading always carries a risk of loss [7]. Beginners may find it easier to start with the teaching sessions before trading the live morning room.
